What is Discogenic Back Pain?

Disc or Discogenic pain refers to discomfort or pain originating from the intervertebral discs of the spine.   • Herniated Disc: Also known as a slipped or ruptured disc, this occurs when the inner gel-like material of the disc protrudes through the outer layer, irritating nearby nerves and causing pain.

  • Bulging Disc: Similar to a herniated disc, but less severe, a bulging disc involves the outer layer of the disc protruding outward, potentially pressing on nearby nerves and causing pain.
