Damian Lazzaro
Clinical Director & Senior Physiotherapist - Albion & West End

Damian founded Brisbane Physiotherapy and Podiatry in 2022. Damian has treated English Premier League footballers, international recording artists, professional athletes and theatre stars. Regardless of who you are, Damian is committed to providing an outstanding quality of care.

While Damian is skilled in managing all areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, he has particular expertise in:
Lower back disorders - particularly lumbar disc pathologies and facet joint dysfunction
Knee pain - particularly disorders of the patellofemoral joint (anterior knee pain) and ligament injury
Shoulder pain - particularly impingement and adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder)
Orthopaedics - particularly ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair/debridement, hip/knee/shoulder joint replacement, ankle reconstruction and shoulder arthroscopy.
Conservative management of orthopaedic injuries - particularly ACL tears, Achilles tears, recurrent shoulder dislocations and meniscus injuries.
WorkCover Queensland and Compulsory Third Party (CTP) claims - particularly complicated cases.
Damian works closely alongside a number of Brisbane’s best Orthopaedic Surgeons and Sports Doctors to ensure his patients always achieve the best outcome. He combines his strong diagnostic skills with a wide array of treatment techniques including dry needling, massage and joint mobilisation/manipulation. He has expansive knowledge of exercise-based rehabilitation and builds bespoke programs to help you recover as efficiently as possible.
Peter Farmer
Senior Physiotherapist - West End
Peter is a renowned Physiotherapist with more than 30 years of industry experience. He graduated with a Distinction from the University of Sydney in 1993 and later gained his Masters with a focus on neck-based headaches.
Peter owned and operated his own private practice for 25 years on the Central Coast of New South Wales before moving to Brisbane to join our team.
While Peter is skilled in managing all areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, he has particular expertise in:
Headache management - particularly cervicogenic, cluster and tension headaches
Neck pain - including acute wry neck, cervical disc injuries, postural dysfunction and whiplash
Lower back disorders - particularly lumbar disc injuries (such as disc bulges), facet joint dysfunction and nerve injury (including sciatica and femoral nerve radiculopathy)
Injuries in sports including running, swimming, cycling, hiking and surfing
Cross-Fit injuries - such as shoulder impingement / bursitis, muscle strains (including quadriceps, hamstring and calf) and stress-fractures
WorkCover Queensland and Compulsory Third Party (CTP) claims - particularly complicated cases.
Although Peter is passionate about treating complex and chronic neck, lower back and headache issues, he enjoys seeing patients from all walks of life. Peter offers acupuncture/dry needling, massage and joint mobilisation to help his patients feel immediate relief. He also utilises bespoke exercise prescription. to help build self-management strategies.
When not working Peter likes to surf, mountaineer and do cross-fit.
Nick Stamatiou
Registered Physiotherapist - West End
Nick is an experienced private-practice Physiotherapist with a strong interest in sports, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. He is motivated to help people reach their desired goals and to achieve their full potential.
His experience includes:

While Nick is skilled in managing all areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, he has particular expertise in:
Neck pain - particularly acute wry neck, cervical disc pathology and postural dysfunction
Hip pain - particularly total hip replacement, trochanteric bursitis, hip labral tears, hip arthroscopy and femeroacetabular impingement (FAI)
Muscle strains including calf strain, quadricep strain and hamstring strain
Knee pain - particularly fat pad impingement, patella tendinopathy, infrapatellar bursitis and meniscus injuries
Orthopaedic Rehabilitation - particularly after ankle, knee, shoulder and hip surgery. Nick has a special interest in ACL reconstruction, knee arthroscopy and ankle reconstruction.

Nick offers dry needling, massage and joint mobilisation to compliment exercise prescription.
Tev Pillai
Registered Physiotherapist & Registered Podiatrist - Albion & West End
Tev is a dual-qualified podiatrist and physiotherapist with special interests in sports, musculoskeletal and biomechanical care. Tev gained his Bachelor of Podiatry from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) before completing his Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland (UQ). He is passionate about utilising his knowledge from both professions to provide holistic and enhanced care for his patients.
His experience includes:
Sports and musculoskeletal podiatrist in a private practice setting
In-house shoe and orthotic research
Computerised gait and running analysis with pressure and force-plate systems

Custom and prefabricated orthoses (3D printed and EVA options available)

Ankle conditions - particularly Sever’s deformity, Haglund’s deformity, tendinopathy of Achilles / Peroneal / Tibialis Posterior, ankle sprains and ankle fracture.
Running-related conditions - particularly patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS), medial tibial stress syndrome (shin splints) and iliotibial friction syndrome (ITBFS).
Lower back conditions - particularly conditions relating to the facet joint and disc.
Upper limb conditions - particularly shoulder impingement / bursitis, shoulder dislocation, tennis / golfers elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Lisa King
Receptionist
Lisa is the friendly face that greets you on arrival at the Albion clinic.
With an extensive background in allied health administration, Lisa loves getting to know clients and providing them with efficient, yet warm and caring customer service.
When not at work, she loves to spend time with her growing family (especially her new little granddaughter). Lisa enjoys an active lifestyle including: going to the gym, doing reformer pilates classes as well as regular walks along the Brook with her little golden Malshi, Maisie.
Lisa also enjoys a nice glass of ‘red’ on a Friday when relaxing from a busy work week.
Leanne Parr
Receptionist
Leanne brings a wealth of experience in reception and administration. Outside of work, she enjoys the outdoors and spending time on her boat
Rory Wilkinson
Receptionist
Rory was born and raised locally in Albion.
He is a keen runner and enjoys middle to long-distance events as well as track and field. His fastest time for a 5km run is an incredible 17’20”!
When not in the Physio clinic, Rory is at University studying to become a Physiotherapist! On University holidays, Rory likes to go snowboarding with his favourite location being Whistler, Canada.
